So, what's cookin' at Hannah's Kitchen? (pun intended)
Hannah's Kitchen Milwaukee continues to grow. Founder and Executive Chef, Hannah Sattler realized that she needed to grow her team as well. She's definitely found an all-star (they found each other).

What do you enjoy most about working at Hannah's Kitchen MKE?
The creativity aspect of the job- you can be yourself. Everything we do is unique and different. When we are preparing meals Hannah gives me the format and I'll get to decide how we should do it. Every event we cater, I get the opportunity to add my experience, skills and specialties- there is mutual trust, transparency, and pride with what we do.
Where did you grow up?
Well...I represent the Midwest and the East Coast. I grew up living in both Milwaukee WI and Far Rockaway, New York. I attended Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf MD and received my culinary degrees fro MATC.
(humble laughter) ...It generally takes 3-years to graduate from MATC's Culinary program. I worked extremely hard in school, so that I would graduate in two! I am very proud to have both Culinary Arts & Culinary Management Degrees.
Do you have plans to eventually start your own business?
Yes...of course! haha. I would love to have a small diner style restaurant- 3 booths and a counter, something that is open every day. My menu would consist of comfort food with daily specials---I cant tell you too much more...You'll just have to wait and see.....
What foods would you not be caught dead eating?
Squid. I cant mess with..... I could never put it in my mouth....Many people have tried to get me to try it...Never going to happen!
Do you have a favorite celebrity Chef?
Bobby Flay- he's dreamy....just kidding. I really love watching how he cooks and prepares his food. I love his rustic style and the way he can take anything and make it a master piece....I have a lot of his books. I think I can go on his show and beat him (laughter)
What do you feel is the most important 'ingredient' needed to prepare great food?
Cooking from the heart-its all about putting your love into it. Anyone can go into a kitchen and read a recipe and make good food. If you want to make great food, you always need the special ingredient- I cook with feeling and passion- my whole heart.
After spending some time with Nekida, it is quite obvious that she is passionate- not only about cooking great food and sharing her gift with others- she is passionate about life. She's driven, hungry and talented- my suggestion to you, is that you keep your eye on her. Nekida is doing great things, at Hannah's Kitchen Milwaukee and I for one, will be the first in line if she opens her own restaurant.
